Bound volume originally used by Peter Waring and possibly another unknown individual as an account book (1704), and later used probably by Elizabeth Ann Poyas to collect autographs. Entries in the "General Index" (two pages) and "Lottery tickets belonging to Est. of Wm. Milligan" (two pages) were apparently written after the Revolutionary War. Both list the names of individuals and corporate entities, each followed by "Bond," "Note," or "Bills of exchange." Autographs (1781-1843) are those of Charleston and Berkeley County, South Carolina residents. Most appear to have been cut from letters and other documents, and pasted on two pages in the volume. Elizabeth Anne Poyas (1792-1877) may have been responsible for collecting the autographs.
